A series of lectures on the Dutch monarchy; how they came into existence, their relevance today, relation to the media etc.

 It’s all in Dutch!

“However, I thought you might have dutch-speaking people who are also history buffs and/or ardent monarchists/anti-monarchists, who would find this interesting!”

The film appears to be being released on Thursday so I am hoping to organise a RandomOuting to see it on Sunday afternoon , September 29th at Buitenhof.  Just waiting for times and reservations to appear on the Pathe site. I will post the details as soon as possible.

Looking for something to do this coming Saturday?

There will be no organised RandomOuting but these 2 events should be well worth a visit!

1) Museumnacht – where you buy a passepartout for 12.50 which gains you entry to many of Den Haag’s museums from 19.30 into the wee small hours.  I have heard that The Humanities Museum has a moving refugee experience.

2) The first Embassy Festival taking place in and around the Lange Voorhout from 2pm and on into the evening.

Hi there,

I’ve got 2 spare tickets for As you like it at €12.50 each for the Sunday performance in Wassenaar. A group of us (English teachers at the Dalton Voorburg) are having a picnic beforehand (don’t know what time yet) which you’d be welcome to join, otherwise just come on your own.

We will set off at 10.00 from the pond at Marlot.

Add a comment before 09.45 if you are joining us!

It looks as though the sun will still be with us on Monday so how about a bike ride to Katwijk. (for those of us not slaving away in an office or escaped the country!)

There will, of course, have to be several enforced stops at cafes etc along the route!  CLICK HERE for route map.

I’ll start in Marlot at 10.00.  If you would like to start with me in Marlot or join at Meijendel or Wassenaarseslag then leave a comment in the box below and we’ll work out the logistics together.

If anyone else wants to organise a departure point from Voorschoten, please feel free to add a comment too.
